Cakeland has reluctantly left the NAFM after the Cakleandian leader Prince Joe stted that his nation has become a parody, he also stated that he intends foir Cakeland to leave micronationalsim permanently, but may under certain circumstances return.

Gemnoviag leaves the NAFM

The Republic of Gemnoviag has leaft the NAFM after stating that it was no where near the North Atlantic and that it believes that the NAFM is a "spoof" of the UNAM. The Minister of Union Affairs, Vladimir Turkov has stated that "The tone in which the message from the President of Gemonviag was quite rude and uneccessary", the King of Kaznia, Urosh Dushanov had stated that he contacted the King of Fristehen regarding Gemonviags sudden resignation and said "I was dissapointed at the tone of the message and its contents" he went on to state his intentions to Fristehen, "Although Gemnoviag has removed its self, Kaznia will still remain in relations with them. I think we should put this aside and continue to work for peace and prosperity for Kaznia and Fristehen, the NAFM and Gemvoniag". The NAFM Commossion has also been informed of this incident.

Although Gemnoviag has made clear its intentions to join the UNAM (Union of North American Micronations) it should be made clear that the Kaznian Ministry of Defence long ago came to the conclusion that the organisation has gone defunct.

Mira-Derby exits the NAFM

The Union of Mira-Derby has exited the NAFM on 25th August due to a colapse in their economy and government.

NAFM welcomes Mira-Derby as observer

The NAFM parliament has voted to accepted the Dominion of Mira-Derby as an observer state. Mira-Derby sent an application regarding observer stateus to the Ministry of Union Affaris in mid June. During their application, they were question about their alliance with Baugnia (a possible threat to the NAFM), to which they replied that the two states have gradually grown appart.

All NAFM member states look forward to working with Mira-Derby.

The NAFM adopts Union Anthem

The NAFM has adopted Sergei Sergeyevich Frokofev's "Dance of thr Knights" as the NAFM's Union Anthem today. Sergei Prokofiev was born in Sontsovka, Ukraine, and he wrote Dance of the Knights for "Romeo and Juliet", but the piece has been used by many other people for many other purposes, such as the NAFM and useing it as the Union Anthem.

Nafos adaption
Two member states have stated that they will adapt the proposed single currency of the NAFM called the Nafos, these two states are Cakeland and Kaznia. The full implementation of the Nafos will begin soon after more Nafos nots have been created (20 and 50 Nafos notes need to be created).

Issue resolved in the NAFM Government

The NAFM is back to normal after Cakeland experienced a brief shutdown*. The NAFM Chairmanship can now be restored to normal and the proposals put forward by the member states can be discussed.

* A shutdown in micrnational terms, is when a micronation becomes defunct and dissolves back into the territory it tried to secede from.

Musorov Treaty accepted

Today the Musorov Treaty has been reviewed and accepted by the NAFM Chairman. Many member states agree that the Musorov Treaty is a good idea. The Musorov Treaty is comprised of four policies which include a Security Policy, a Foreign Policy, an Aid policy and a Peace keeping Policy. With the treaty effective as of today, the NAFM will be much more efficient in the are which these policies cover, however the NAFM will still need to be improved. The NAFMDA has a new sub-agency called a "NAFM Peace Envoy" which is used to keep peace unstable areas of the micronational community.

NAFM Chairman to pass Musorov Treaty on 15th June

The NAFM Chairman (Cakeland) has announced today that it will pass The Musorov treaty proposed by Kaznia on the 15th June.

The Musorov Treaty is an important treaty as it has detailed information regarding Security of the NAFM, a NAFM foreign policy, an aid policy and a peace keeping policy. With the treaty enacted the NAFM will be a more powerful organisation and more efficient at serving its member states and the micronational community, as well as giving the NAFM a bigger voice in the micronational community.

At 12:00pm The Principality of Kaznia gave Cakeland the NAFM Chairmanship status, Cakeland has stated that they will ensure the growth of the NAFM by the gathering of new member states.

Chairmanship state officialises various documents

The Chairmanship state (Kaznia) has today officialised the following:

. The NAFM Court of equality
. The NAFM Capital of Culture
. The NAFM Open Borders Treaty
. The NAFM Exploratory Council
. The NAFM Executive Chairman Act
. The NAFM Civil War Policy

All of these documents and idea's were officialised without a vote or debate. The reprasentative from Kaznia said "I am sorry for doing this, but i can assure you it will not happen again, this only happened due to Kaznia's poor organisation, we [The NAFM] simply had too many projets going all at once and many were becomming forgotten."

As a result of this, many new institutions have been established such as the NAFM Court of Equality which supervises and makes sure that acts and policies are applied uniformly throughout the NAFM.

The NAFM Capital of Culture is a city or town in the NAFM Chiarmanship state (also chosen by the Chairmanship state) which is allowed to showcase its cultural achievements, it is similar to that of the European capital of Culture. The current capital of Culture is Serovostok, Kaznia.

Bzan joins the NAFM

The Democratic People's Republic of Bzan ha today been accepted by the NAFM after an application was sent. Recently the nation of Bzan has been in a conflict with Licentia over a declaration of independence from Bzan. The NAFM had fully supported its independence, as did Kaznia and Cakeland. The Chairman state of the NAFM, currently Kaznia, looks forward to a good diplomatic relationship with Bzan.

Wiltamshire leaves the NAFM

The Principality of wiltamshire has today left the North Atlantic Federation of Micronations. The reason for their leave is due to Wiltamshire comming to an official end by decree of its leader. The prince of Wiltamshire did state that he may return one day with Wiltamshire.

The NAFM adopts new symbols

The NAFM has today adated the mk2 symbols proposed by Kaznia on 12th April. The vote was 100% for the adaption of the new symbols. The old symbols will be for internal usage such as the NAFM Parliament, the NAFM comission the NAFM website etc.

Avalon becomes full member

On the 15th April 2008 The Commonwealth Republic of Avalon ratified The NAFM Treaty in the Avalonian national assembly emerging from being a candidate nation to being an official member state.

The NAFM has issued its first census, the purpose of this census is to understand the basic information about the member states.

Vote held in NAFM Parliament
A vote is being held in the NAFM Parliament to adapt the mk2 NAFM symbols, the vote is being held until the 30th April 2008.

New symbols proposed

Kaznia has proposed changing the current NAFM symbols to the "Mk2" symbols. The NAFM commission is discussing the possibilities of changing the current symbols of the NAFM. The Kaznian government proposed the changing of the NAFM symbols for the following reasons:

1. It is hard to make the flag of the NAFM
2. With new member coming it is quite tedious to remake the flag and coat of arms, and then to update all the necessary web pages.
3. It is becoming increasingly hard to find space on both the symbols for the red stars.

If the commission agree to have a vote the vote shall be held in the NAFM Parliament for 7 days, if a member misses the voting they cannot vote after the vote has been held.

Cakeland becomes official member of the NAFM

Wiltamshire becomes 4th member of the NAFM

The Principality of Wiltamshire has today become an official member of the NAFM. Wiltamshire applied for membership on the 31st March and was accepted into the NAFM on the 1st April. As usual, an extra star shall be added to the NAFM flag and coat of arms.

The Commonwealth Republic of Avalon has expressed an interest in joining the NAFM, talks with the nation began on 25th March when Avalon emailed the Minister of Union Affairs. Avalon is currently proposing the NAFM Treaty to the Avalon National Assembly for ratification.
